"Tenuring" means the granting of tenure to a faculty member who in the previous academic year was in an untenured position at the same institution. "Hiring to Tenure" means the hiring to a tenured position of a faculty member from another institution."N/A" means this information was not available at press time. [NTG] means this institution is partially or completely non-tenure-granting. Its faculty is listed when they are signed for the first time to a 'non-probational' contract (e.g. lasting 5 years or more).
